TOMS RIVER SUMMER RAPIDS & 2022 CLUB CHAMPION CEREMONY INFORMATION Entrants MUST be active with the USCF in order to participate in the June 30th Rapid Tournament. Tournament Directors: Nick Carlson Robert Dalton Sr, (Chief) The TRCC will host the Spring Rapids, a USCF-rated rapid tournament on Thursday, June 30, 2022, which will affect the entrant's USCF OTB Quick rating. Entry Fee Member entry fee is $5, while non-member entry is $10 The Toms River rapids will be quad-based with a time control of G10:d5. 1st place winner of each quad will receive a $15 prize. Sign-Up Sign-Up is available now through either emailing (TomsRiverChess@gmail.com) or telling club President Nick Carlson while at the club. Please provide your USCF ID. Sign-Up closes at 5:45 P.M. on 6/30/22 Start Time Clocks will begin at exactly 6:30 EDT. TRCC 2022 Club Championship Award Ceremony! The TRCC 2022 Club Championship Award Ceremony will begin right before the Summer Rapids at 6:00 P.M. sharp Awards will be presented to the 1st place winner Lou Dispensiere and the two 2nd place winners Barrett Hnatt and John Bassily! 6-23-22 Board Meeting Quick Recap: All votes at the board meeting were passed unanimously and a full Recap will be on the website soon! (Please remember soon is a relative term) Numerous motions were passed including clarifying what immediate family membership means (The purchasers, siblings, legal guardians and or parents, grandparents, spouses, & children); all members have immediate family memberships. A new rule was also put in place for visitors, beginning in the first week of July; visitors will be allowed 3 visits to the club in a 6-month period. This is mainly due to insurance reasons but to also be fair to members who regularly come and pay their membership dues. In other news; The board has agreed to switch our primary bank and delegate the TRCC online and social media responsibilities to other club members more info TBA. The club has also agreed to look into new merchandise designs and more information for that will follow in the coming weeks. In addition, the board also agreed to have a board meeting in July strictly about the club bylaws. The final leg of the meeting was used to discuss future summer events. Events that were voted on and passed were a July beginner tournament for USCF players rated 1200 and under.
